Feeling dismissed, exhausted, or told "it's just stress"?
If you've spent months — or years — dealing with symptoms that no one seems to take seriously, you're not alone.
Many of our patients come to us after being told their blood tests are "normal", they're "too young for menopause", or that they should "just try antidepressants".
Your symptoms are real. They have a cause. And they can be treated properly.
At The Meyer Menopause Clinics, we take a different approach — one built on listening, thorough investigation, and personalised, root-cause treatment.

Meet Dr Saadia Meyer
FRCOG · MRCGP · DFFP · BMS Menopause Specialist
With over 30 years in women's health and more than 20 years specialising in hormones, Dr Meyer brings a depth of expertise that is rare in the private menopause space.
She holds dual qualifications as both a gynaecologist (FRCOG) and a GP (MRCGP) — a combination very few UK clinicians hold — and continues to practise within the NHS alongside her private clinic.
Her approach is built on a simple belief: your diagnosis lies in your own story. She listens, investigates thoroughly, and treats you as a whole person — not a set of symptoms.
Dr Meyer is known for working with women who have complex or resistant symptoms, who haven't improved with standard care, and who need a more advanced, personalised approach.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before booking your consultation.
Do I need a GP referral to see Dr Meyer?
No. You can self-refer directly. Simply book a consultation and we'll take care of everything from there. Many of our patients come to us precisely because they haven't found the help they need through their GP.
How much does treatment cost in total?
Because every woman is different, there isn’t a fixed total cost.
At Meyer Menopause Clinic, we offer a personalised programme rather than a one-off appointment — so your care is tailored to you, with the right level of support, investigations, and follow-up.
As a guide, most patients invest between £1,500 and £1,800 for the initial phase of care. This typically includes your first consultation, a detailed treatment plan, any recommended tests or scans, and your first review appointment.
Your initial consultation is £395, and you pay at each stage — there’s no obligation to commit to the full programme upfront. If after your first appointment you feel it’s not right for you, you’re not tied in.
We believe in giving you clarity, choice, and the confidence to move forward at your own pace.
What is the difference between HRT and bioidentical hormones (BHRT)?
Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is a well-established treatment used to help relieve symptoms of menopause. It uses hormones like oestrogen and progesterone to gently restore balance in the body.
Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) simply means the hormones used are identical in structure to those your body naturally produces. Many modern HRT options are already bioidentical.
So what does this mean for you?
Both HRT and BHRT aim to support your body and ease symptoms. In practice, treatment is often a thoughtful combination of the two — tailored to your symptoms, preferences, and medical needs.
The most important thing is choosing a safe, effective approach that’s personalised for you and guided by an experienced clinician — so you can start feeling like yourself again.
What is the DUTCH Complete Test?
We use a combination of bespoke blood profiles and the DUTCH Complete Test to gain a comprehensive view of hormonal health. Our customised blood testing panels assess key markers such as estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA-S, FSH, LH, prolactin, insulin, SHBG, and detailed thyroid testing—all tailored to your individual needs.
The DUTCH Complete Test uses dried urine samples collected over 24 hours to measure hormone levels, metabolism, and cortisol patterns. It offers deeper insight into how hormones are processed, detoxified, and how the HPA axis is functioning—crucial for understanding symptoms like fatigue, poor sleep, anxiety, and low mood.
In some cases, we may also include the Cortisol Awakening Response (CAR) to evaluate your body’s immediate stress response within the first hour of waking.
This integrated approach allows us to build precise, evidence-based treatment plans using personalised supplements, lifestyle strategies, and hormone therapy when appropriate.
I've already tried HRT and it's not working. Can you help?
Yes — absolutely.
Many of the women Dr Meyer sees have tried HRT before without getting the results they hoped for. In most cases, this doesn’t mean HRT won’t work for you — it means the approach may not have been quite right.
It could be the type of HRT, the dose, or how your body was absorbing it. Sometimes, other underlying factors haven’t been fully addressed.
At Meyer Menopause Clinic, we take a personalised, specialist-led approach — looking at your full hormonal picture and tailoring treatment to you.
So if HRT hasn’t worked so far, please don’t lose hope. With the right expertise, there are usually effective ways to help you feel like yourself again.
How quickly can I get an appointment?
We always aim to see you as soon as possible.
Dr Meyer is in high demand due to her specialist expertise, so there is usually a short wait of a couple of weeks for an Initial Consultation
We know how important it is to get the right support when you’re not feeling yourself, so we do our best to offer the earliest available slot.
If you’re considering booking, we’d encourage you to do so sooner rather than later — appointments do fill up quickly.
Can you prescribe testosterone for women?
Yes — Dr Meyer can prescribe testosterone for women, where it is appropriate and clinically indicated.
Testosterone can play an important role in women’s health, particularly for symptoms such as low libido, reduced energy, brain fog, and loss of motivation — especially during perimenopause and menopause. However, it’s not suitable for everyone. At Meyer Menopause Clinic, we take a careful, personalised approach — assessing your symptoms, hormone profile, and overall health before considering whether testosterone is right for you.
If it is appropriate, it is prescribed safely, at the correct dose for women, with ongoing monitoring to ensure you’re getting the benefits while minimising any risks.
Our focus is always on what will help you feel your best — not a one-size-fits-all approach.
You don't have to keep struggling alone.
Expert, personalised hormone care is one consultation away. Take the first step towards feeling like yourself again.
